The simulator is made of silicone components, steel and latex. Both appearance and weight, are the same of those of a real human hand (Fig. 1). As mentioned above, in the middle finger is simulated a shearing amputation at the metaphysis of the proximal phalanx. In this area there are different elements to work with. Firstly, the phalanx must be anchored to the correct setting. Also two arteries and two veins are arranged to be anastomosed in the right order of the surgical technique.
